6th International Muğla Beekeeping and Pine Honey Congress will be held between 15-19 October 2018 at Liberty Hotels Lykia, Fethiye - Ölüdeniz.
During the congress, all shareholders of the sector on the international level, providing theoretical information to our beekeepers, and increasing their experience in the related fields is aimed. In line with this purpose, guests will be encouraged to stay overnight as in our previous congress, and a camp atmosphere that is open to discussion and share of ideas on the technical and economic problems of beekeeping in Turkey and the World with the participation of national and international delegation, who are experts in their fields, and beekeepers.
In addition to invited speakers, abstract submissions made for the scientific topics decided by the Scientific Committee will be evaluated carefully and accepted verbally and/or as poster for the 6th International Muğla Beekeeping and Pine Honey Congress.
2016 Congress survey showed us that congress program planning was found very positive and useful by all participants. For this reason, the same program flow will continue. Scientific topics will be presented in the main meeting hall before the noon, and then different subjects will be discussed interactively in parallel sessions as a second part in the afternoon. All participants will be able to meet each other and share their knowledge at international level.
Making a difference is the most important characteristic of each new International Muğla Beekeeping and Pine Honey Congress.
In 2016 congress, the followings will be different from the previous congresses;
- Private question desks will be available in order to enable beekeepers to discuss their own questions. Beekeepers will have the opportunity to discuss all their problems with the experts.
- Beekeepers will have opportunity to share their field experience. Applications sent to scientific committee will be evaluated and 4 of them will be included in the scientific program.
- A honey contest will be held in which evaluation will be made according to international criteria by a jury consisting of an international jury president and national and international members.
In each new congress, a very successful increasing trend is achieved in terms of number of participants, number of stands, number of countries, number of international delegates, and number of domestic and international abstracts. Thus, International Muğla Beekeeping and Pine Honey Congress takes firm steps forward for becoming a world-class brand congress by making a difference between other beekeeping congresses in the world.
The following table provides data of the congresses held between 2008, which is the first year of the congress, and 2016. Local Organizing Committee is working hard in order to make this increase even faster in 6th Congress that will be held on 2018.

"6th International Muğla Beekeeping and Pine Honey Congress" will be held at Liberty Hotels Lykia located in Ölüdeniz which is chosen as the most beautiful beach of the world in 2006 by getting 82% of votes. This hotel is founded on the piedmont of Babadağ on a land of 370.000 square meters and have well-kept gardens and unmatched landscaping. It has a 650-meters long private beach in one of the turquoise color inlets in which Mediterranean and Aegean seas. Besides the congress program, it will also provide a perfect holiday experience for all participants in order to relieve the tiredness of the year.
